Hillsboro Public Library is located at 214 School St., Hillsboro, Illinois. The Hillsboro Public Library provides free services to all residents living within the city limits of Hillsboro.  Other Communities in Montgomery County we offer a non-resident card for a fee of $25.00 per-year.

The library  has an up to date adult and children fiction, non-fiction books and cd-audio books.  Free internet computers to our patrons, non-patron's do have to pay a fee of $2.00.  If we do not own the book your looking for, our staff will place an interlibrary loan for you.  Hillsboro Public Library has the capability to order interlibrary loans from 5,000 libraries in the state of Illinois.

Children's Pre-school programs are offered from September through May.  Summer reading programs are offered from June through August.  Please call the library for information on dates and times.

Library Knitting Club meets twice a month from September to May.  Knitting Club is free and open to all ages.  If your wanting to learn to knit we will be happy to teach you how.  If you already know how to knit and are wanting to learn something new than you will enjoy this friendly and fun loving group.  Please call the library for information on dates and times.

The Library Book Club meets once each month for book discussion.  The book is chosen each month by the members and is generally obtained through interlibrary loan. 

No fees are associated with any library program offerings.
